What is a Medium?

One definition of a Medium is: "a channel through which information is transmitted". In Spiritualism, it is, "a person through whom spirits are said to communicate with the physical/ material world". A Clairvoyant is said to have, "the alleged power of seeing, feeling and hearing things, not apparent through the other senses". In contrast, the term Psychic is defined as: "that which is of the mind or psyche".

As a medium, we constantly develop these senses for the purpose of communicating with Spirit. When working directly with Spirit, there is such a great amount of love being given from the higher realms that you experience this first-hand in a continual stream of energy. In fact, Spirit is pure love. With the support of our guides and the Angels, we wish to show that anything is possible and available to us all! Remember, we all have the ability of opening to channel.

Working with Spirit

From a medium's point of view, the more practiced we are at opening up to the higher realms of Spirit, the greater and stronger our evidence becomes.

Spirit also needs a period of adjustment with each individual medium, in order to work with us in the best way. As Spirit vibrates at a much higher frequency, they must adjust to our lower frequency. As mediums, we open up to the higher frequencies by sending our light upwards. Spirit can then tune into our vibrations and use us a channel for communication.

When we send out our thoughts they are being carefully heard and listened to. Thoughts are extremely powerful. They can be used for positivity, such as with healing, or if we are not careful, they can create negativity.

If ever in doubt, always ask for help and you shall receive it. As well as this, Spirit know our thoughts. Often, before we even know it, they are already at hand helping us with our problems!

Working with the Angels

The Angels are God's Messengers. The Angels have their own hierarchy, and as such, there are the head Angels, referred to as the Archangels, namely Michael, Head Archangel, (See About page), Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel, who can each be called upon for a specific purpose, followed by our own guardian angels, who are often directed by the Archangels.

One of the main issues that we are confronted with as mediums concern worries about a darker side of working with Spirit. I can only say in reassurance that there is really nothing to worry about; we are only ever surrounded by love.

Doreen Virtue, a spiritual doctor of psychology and a fourth-generation metaphysician is world-renowned for working with the angelic, elemental, and ascended-master realms and has written several books about angels, chakras and other mind-body-spirit issues.

As clairvoyants, many of us see the spirit world in great detail. Doreen Virtue says, "There are beings that are referred to as 'fallen angels.' In reality, they aren't angels at all. Angels are glowing beings, filled with the inner radiance of God's love. Angels have soft, feathery wings. Angels always talk about, and act from, Love. The "fallen angels," in contrast, have no light in them. They have short, bat-like bony wings and clawed talons. They're commonly called "gargoyles." These beings aren't creations of God's love; they're creations of man's fear.

The average person with loving intentions doesn't need to worry about these dark beings. They think that loving, nice people are boring! Dark beings are attracted to those who abuse substances, those who are dishonest, cruel or manipulative and those obsessively afraid of evil.

"Earthbound spirits" are another form of so-called "fallen angels." These are deceased humans who, for a variety of reasons (fear of hell, materiality and so on), stay rooted to earth. They are sometimes called ghosts.

The best way to clear away the presence of earthbound spirits and dark beings is to hold a constant mindset of Love. Think about God as often as you can. And call upon the Archangel Michael, who escorts away fear and darkness, to act as your "bouncer," ensuring that only invited guests are by your side and in your home."
